My brother's new favorite song to play on the guitar is "Bad Moon Rising"--which, hey, considering his last favorite song was the theme from "King of the Hill" and he played it pretty much every time he had a guitar in his hand (jeez, that was a lousy three months), is not that bad--and so I hear the song all the time. Unfortunately, being a big Supernatural dork, the song makes me feel really melancholy. It's ridiculous, I know, but I can't help picturing smashed Impalas and getting a little teary every time I hear it.

In other "wow, Erin really needs a life" news, I was working out at Curves (best gym ever, btw) today, and I noticed that one of the names on the wall (members who have 300+ workouts get a big gold star...it's like workout pre-school) was "Karen B." and my first thought was, "OMG KAREN BREWER GOES TO CURVES!" Because I'm just that dorky. :)

Oh! Totally forgot this.

I know this is way old news, but I just discovered something that absolutely made my day...

How freaky is Dawn?

My dad got promoted! He's now the chief of police at his department, which is wicked cool. He's been doing the work for the last few months, but now he's actually getting paid for it (which is awesome) and they also gave him a car and will pay for his transportation costs (which is VERY awesome, as his commute has been costing about 200$ a week). Yay!

Also, my truly bad writer's block seems to have lifted, at least for the time being, and I've written quite a bit of a BSC fic (Byron/Jeff, of course), and part of an Animorphs fic (Gafinilan/Mertil, with a side order of Marco/Ax). The Animorphs fic is giving me trouble, though, because a) I was struck with inspiration for the middle/end of the fic, and I'm working backwards, which is hard for me, and b) writing two (gay) Andalites, when we have NO idea what Andalite sex/courtship is like, is driving me up a wall!

So even though I still hate chemistry, life is good. :)

I stopped in at a used bookstore near my house and picked up five more BSC books! Yay! I found Boy Crazy Stacey, which I was really hoping for. Also got Kristy's Big Day, Logan Likes Mary Anne, Little Miss Stoneybrook...and Dawn, and Dawn's Wicked Stepsister. I was bummed there weren't more Kristy books (there were mostly Stacey and Claudia books, and not even the couple of Claudia books I remember liking) but yay for Dawn books! :)

They also had a bunch of other books I wanted, and I ended up getting nine books for five bucks, which is why I <3 that bookstore very much. (Plus, a percentage of their proceeds go to a local women's shelter, so I try to buy from them whenever possible.)

So the Complete Guide to the Baby-Sitter's Club is pretty much the coolest thing ever. I <3 Amazon. I <3 my new book. Fanfic is going to be so much easier (and accurate!) now. OMG a map. I am such a dork, but I am a happy dork.

mizzmarvel is just happy that I'm not going to be pestering her with stupid questions anymore, I'm sure. :)

But a couple quick BSC questions for those of you on my flist with book familiarity. The only books I own are in the first 15. I would really like to read a couple books that feature my favorite fanon characters so I can get a better canon idea of who they are. So:

1) I would like a Mary Anne book where Richard has more than one line.

2) I would like a book with good triplet interaction (bonus points for a good look at Byron).

3) I know that there is a book where Logan gets made fun of by a football team guy while baby-sitting. What book is this? I want it.

Suggestions? I have a little spending money and want to grab a couple books. Thanks!!

I'm trying to adjust to some of the changes that occurred while I was off at school. ( Cut for things that are probably only interesting to me. )

In totally unrelated news, I wrote half of a Byron/Jeff future fic in a notebook...and lost the notebook. I'm trying to decide if I should reconstruct from memory (something I suck at), keep hunting for the notebook (though I've turned my room upside down several times), or just give it up (which I don't want to do because I really like the basic plot idea).

Also, this just creeps me the fuck out.

Easter break starts tomorrow! I'm going to stay with a friend's family, so it should be cool. I won't have internet access, though, so don't do anything fun while I'm gone. ;)

I'm going to have quite a lot of quiet time, so I hope to get some fic written. You're probably not interested, but here's what I'm working on in order of priority:

1) [BSC] Kristy/Mary Anne for comeoneileen.

2) [BSC] End of my Kristy/Dawn trilogy.

3) [Animorphs] Tobias/Ax epic. It keeps growing in scope, and Ax keeps pulling shit that he really shouldn't, while Tobias keeps sinking further into boring Emo-world. ::pout::

4) Southpark/Harry Potter crossover. No pairings. Just something I play with when I get bored. Will be posted to ff.net and updated whenever I feel like it.

I was working on my Ax/Tobias behemoth, and realized that I tend to write Ax as a combination of Anya from Buffy and Data from Star Trek. I have the whole fic outlined and I'm 1/8 of the way through, but it's slow going. Ax keeps tripping me up. Also, Tobias is very different, by necessity, and I'm afraid it's past growth and into OOC. I wish we had more pre-bird Tobias.

Also, I'm working on a Kristy/Mary Anne for comeoneeileen that's somewhat hindered by the fact that Mary Anne gets on my nerves. :) The third part of my Kristy/Dawn trilogy is begging to be written, but I've got that on the backburner until the K/MA is finished.

And, um, schoolwork. Wow. I'm quickly reaching the point where I hate the English language.
