This is probably the most narcissistic meme ever, but what the hell, everyone else is doing it. Stolen from mizzmarvel, but I've seen it everywhere.

If you would like, please quote a bit of my writing at me. Find that one story of mine that you really like, and find a sentence or a paragraph that presses your prose-buttons in the right way, and comment here with it. I don't care how long or short the excerpt is.

At the front, under the canopy, their parents left and Jeff and Byron stood in front of the minister. She began to speak, but Jeff didn’t hear her. He stared at Byron. Byron smiled back at him, and squeezed his hand. I’m really here, Jeff thought. I’m really going to do this. I’m going to get married.

And it hit him, there in front of all those people. For months, he had participated in the planning. But it had always been for Byron. This was something Byron wanted, this was a gift he was giving him. Jeff wasn’t adverse to the notion, but it wasn’t something he was terribly exited about. He didn’t care, and Byron did, so he might as well let Byron have his way.

And all of a sudden, it was different. He wanted this. He was excited. He was overwhelmed. Oh my God, I’m getting married. I’m getting married to Byron. He could feel the burn of tears and blinked frantically. Byron gave him an odd look.

Gets me every damn time.

Marco kissed me, almost rough. "I love you," he said. "Blue fur and all."

We were silent for a moment. "I would, you know."

"What?" Marco asked.

"Become human for you. If there wasn't a war, if you didn't need my morphing ability, I would do as my brother did. I would stay with you." It would be so easy, I thought, to just let the time run out, still curled up with Marco. But I couldn't do that.

Marco turned to look at me better. "I could never ask that of you. I don't mind having an alien boyfriend. It's kind of cool, actually."

This time, it was I who kissed him. "I like having an alien boyfriend, too."

Alien boyfriends! Somehow this manages to break my heart and make me giggle at the same time. How do you do that?

	Aw, thank you! My earlier fics kinda make me cringe, but I'm glad some people like them! And Ax/Marco is such an awesome pairing. :) (Reply to this)(Parent)
